Installing and operating a Ferti-Flo unit

    Installation

  • For maximum service life, install the system underground in an irrigation valve box to protect from sun and to secure unit from kids and pets.
  • Do not connect the unit to an irrigation line that is not protected by a backflow preventer.
  • Do not install if pressure exceeds 5.6 bar or fit a high pressure valve for pressure up to 10 bar (available on request).
  • Install the unit at any point between the backflow preventer and irrigation valves.

  • Operation

  • Filling the Ferti-Flo with fertilizer can be done any time so you can "top it up" even if there is some fertilizer still remaining in it.
  • Turn the water off to the irrigation system.
  • Open the drain valve (red) and drain water.
  • Remove fertilizer fill cap and add fertilizer. Replace cap
  • Close drain valve.
  • Turn water on to irrigation system.
